Marrakesh House Wedding
October 27, 2012
Culver City holds a very special place in our hearts and we wanted to incorporate this into our wedding. We rented a home for the day that overlooks the beautiful city we live in…complete with a view of the rainbow at Sony Studios.
Our friend offered us his Officiant skills and Mad Soulful Band.
My long time family friends executed my floral vision beautifully, beyond expectations.
A silhouette artist cut guests silhouettes free hand during the pre ceremony cocktail hour
Wedding Cake toppers given to me by my grandpa with an interesting story (see below)
Being hoisted up on chairs was just as scary as I thought it would be
My grandparents married in 1940 and these two fine looking porcelain figurines topped their cake. Still in excellent condition, they made it to the top of ours as well. Perfectly fitting since October 27th is our wedding day and grandpa’s birthday. He was pretty “tickled” that we chose his birthday!
Unfortunately, Grandpa passed away just two months before our wedding day. As we stood in front of that beautiful cake, I couldn’t help but think of the excitement and love my grandparents must have felt while looking at the same two little porcelain people on top of their cake, 72 years ago.

EVERYONE was on the dance floor when these guys started belting out soul hits, a truly original rendition of the hava nagila, and their own take on modern hits.
We did it!
What an amazing night filled with the people we love!
